2 in 1
So Nathan does not like his inhaler at all. The other day he got into his bag and was playing with it and I thought nothing of it. If anything maybe he will get use to it and not cry. Then he was in the corner with it and we heard this horn. I thought it was maybe on the t.v. Then Nathan turns around and he is making the noise with the inhaler. What a talented son we have. He is so funny and it does not stop there. So now that this makes him happy we have let him play with it. We may not be #1 parents of the year but we have a happy son.
Let it Snow! Just not too much!
Nathan and I outside enjoying what all the snow brought us. Vii was out shoveling so Nathan and I came out to see his progress. He is so great. He always does the shoveling. Vii and our Neighbor always make sure the walks are nice and clear.
Don't my to guys look good. They are just two Cool Dudes. You gotta love them.

Catch Up
Boy how time flies. I looked back at my blog and realized that i am a little behind. So after our Houston trip we got to go on a quick trip to Colorado. It was so awesome. We drove there on Friday and returned by Sunday night. The whole family got to come, IT WAS A BLAST. We went for my G-Ma's Memorial. It's the first time all of my siblings were in the same place since 2003. It was so great to wake up in the morning and just walk next door and hang out for a little bit then go down and have breakfast then come up and hang out some more. We did have time limits but the trip was so worth all the time we did get to spend together.I think my parents picked the wrong rooming buddies because Nathan was not going to let anyone sleep in early.

Then for Thanksgiving we made a last minute quick trip to California. It was so much fun getting to see family and being in warm weather. The drive was long but well worth it. I was determined that the third times a charm for Nathan to like the Beach. It worked. He actually liked it, he is really my son. :)

While we were there Nathan decided he needed to help Gramma fix the dishwasher( at least he thought he should investigate any problems or maybe he just wanted to start problems)
In between this trip and Thanksgiving we celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary. We both ended up working late but got to be with each other at the end of the night. That's all that matters. Vii surprised me with a card and a bottle of Martinelli's. He is so cute.
We also took couple and family pictures. It has been 10 years since we have taken our picture and the picture on our wall was our wedding picture.

Two days later was Vii's birthday and we just hung out at home. Nathan signed his own name on the card. He was so proud of himself but when mommy had to take the pen away he did not have many nice words for mom.

While we were there he perfected his long boarding skills like his Uncle Chris. Someday he will be just as good.
Then we traveled home. We have so many pictures but i need to move on. Then December came around and I was busy with Our Bright Space we did at work. We have spent the last few years raising money for this project. We were able to raise 5,000 dollars through many giving parents and support from work and then we went in and renovated the Homeless Pediatric Clinic downtown. It was an awesome experience. Although my phone was stolen in the process it was still worth it. I have to remind myself someone needed it more than me. So now i am starting over from scratch. I have no numbers and just have to wait for people to call so i can get the numbers back.

During this same time Nathan was at my sisters house because he could not go to school because he had Broncolitus(sp) or now they think he might of had pneumonia. So trying to get a hold of her was so hard because i did not have her number and i felt bad borrowing someone else's phone. So long story short but we are good now and the Clinic looks awesome. Thanks to everyone that helped us out.
So the rest of the month was just relaxing and not preparing for Christmas at all. Last minute is the way to go. We were so excited for Nathan to open gifts and all that stuff. On Christmas eve we went over to my sisters house and opened our one gift which is PJ's. Nathan got the cutest ones from Gramma and Grampa. Well i thought i had them on my computer but i guess not. We will have to save them for another time.
This year has been great. Vii changed jobs and is enjoying his new job. Nathan is growing so fast and is so much fun to watch and play with. He keeps us going. He is a little comedian. I am so grateful for all i have and the many people who have come into our lives. They have each left a mark and will be remembered. Thanks again and i promise i will not go this long with out Blogging. Happy New Year and remember to make each day count.

Ren Fest 2008
While we were in Texas we went to the Ren Fest (Renaissance). We've heard many things about it and how fun it is. So we were very happy that it was happening while we were there. On Saturday we got there around 11:30am and got to see the parade of all the people. They had awesome costumes. Then we headed over to the jousting tournament. We sat in the area that was rooting for the English team. Our guy won all the events. It's probably because he had such a supportive crowd. :) Then we walked around and tried some Fried Alligator. It was pretty good and no it did not taste like chicken, more like pork. We went over to the area where they have more shops and rides. Vii had to stop and take a picture with this guy. He rocked.
Then we went over to the rides and we got to ride an Elephant. Vii , Nathan and I all got to ride on one elephant. It was pretty cool. I do have to say though i sure hope those elephants get paid well. They have to walk about fifty steps for each ride. As soon as you get adjusted on the elephant its time to get back off.
Vii got to throw axes. He got three tries to make it in the star.
On his second shot it landed perfectly in the star. The reward was a "Free Kiss Card".
He could have taken it over and gotten a free kiss from a whench. Man he sure missed out. After that the guys went and shot Bow and Arrows and the kids went in a maze. Shelley and I really wanted to ride the "King Swing" so after the kids were done we went over and rode that. It held 6 of us. It was all done by hand. They hook the bench to a pulley and then yank on the rope and it lets you go. It was so much fun. Once you go through the initial shock then it is so relaxing.
We had Shelley, Emily, Kale, Soren, Bailey and I on the the swing.
While we were just walking around we saw the most amazing characters and people. We stopped and had Nathan take a picture with one of them. I am not to sure if he enjoyed it. You tell me.
Vii wanted his chance to take a picture with a hot chick so he used Nathan as a device to get in. (i actually told him to take the picture. Nathan told me he wanted to take the picture.)
So that was our day. It was long and fun. We had so much fun people watching. There are so many more pictures we could share but that would probably leave no room for imagination. Thank you Shelley, Brett, Soren, Emily, and Greyson for an awesome time. We love you guys.

Trick or Treat
This year we spent Halloween with my sister Shelley's family in Houston, Texas. One of the nice things was the weather was so great that we did not need jackets or thermals or hoods or gloves or scarves. I actually was in a t-shirt and flip-flops :) You get the picture. It was nice and warm. Nathan was a cute Turtle. It was a little big, but he looked so cute in it. He did not love the idea of something being on his head, but after a lot of encouraging words to keep it on he did. Nathan got to actually wear his costume twice. On Thursday we went to a Trunk or Treat
and then on Friday we did the actual house trick or treating. He slept through most of it. I finally got him out of the stroller and carried him so he would wake up. He still did not wake up and then i kept whispering in his ear "Look Nathan an Airplane" That finally did it.
It was awesome to see so many children out Trick or Treating. Last year there was no one out in Utah.
(Maybe we should come to Texas every year.)

Baker or Drummer

Nathan loves to play in the cupboards. So we have designated the tupperware one his. (He lets us borrow things once in awhile) So Sunday i was doing the dishes and i turn around and there was Nathan making something in his bowl. He was mixing away. Then i gave him a different spatula and then all of a sudden he became a drummer. I do have to say that he seemed to prefer mixing ovet the drumming. That does not mean he is any less quiet becuase he still has the vocal chords and let me tell you they do work.
