Catch Up

Boy how time flies. I looked back at my blog and realized that i am a little behind. So after our Houston trip we got to go on a quick trip to Colorado. It was so awesome. We drove there on Friday and returned by Sunday night. The whole family got to come, IT WAS A BLAST. We went for my G-Ma's Memorial. It's the first time all of my siblings were in the same place since 2003. It was so great to wake up in the morning and just walk next door and hang out for a little bit then go down and have breakfast then come up and hang out some more. We did have time limits but the trip was so worth all the time we did get to spend together.I think my parents picked the wrong rooming buddies because Nathan was not going to let anyone sleep in early.
In between this trip and Thanksgiving we celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary. We both ended up working late but got to be with each other at the end of the night. That's all that matters. Vii surprised me with a card and a bottle of Martinelli's. He is so cute.
We also took couple and family pictures. It has been 10 years since we have taken our picture and the picture on our wall was our wedding picture.

Two days later was Vii's birthday and we just hung out at home. Nathan signed his own name on the card. He was so proud of himself but when mommy had to take the pen away he did not have many nice words for mom.

Then for Thanksgiving we made a last minute quick trip to California. It was so much fun getting to see family and being in warm weather. The drive was long but well worth it. I was determined that the third times a charm for Nathan to like the Beach. It worked. He actually liked it, he is really my son. :)
While we were there Nathan decided he needed to help Gramma fix the dishwasher( at least he thought he should investigate any problems or maybe he just wanted to start problems)
We did have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Nathan chowed and so did we.
While we were there he perfected his long boarding skills like his Uncle Chris. Someday he will be just as good. Then we traveled home. We have so many pictures but i need to move on. Then December came around and I was busy with Our Bright Space we did at work. We have spent the last few years raising money for this project. We were able to raise 5,000 dollars through many giving parents and support from work and then we went in and renovated the Homeless Pediatric Clinic downtown. It was an awesome experience. Although my phone was stolen in the process it was still worth it. I have to remind myself someone needed it more than me. So now i am starting over from scratch. I have no numbers and just have to wait for people to call so i can get the numbers back.
During this same time Nathan was at my sisters house because he could not go to school because he had Broncolitus(sp) or now they think he might of had pneumonia. So trying to get a hold of her was so hard because i did not have her number and i felt bad borrowing someone else's phone. So long story short but we are good now and the Clinic looks awesome. Thanks to everyone that helped us out.
So the rest of the month was just relaxing and not preparing for Christmas at all. Last minute is the way to go. We were so excited for Nathan to open gifts and all that stuff. On Christmas eve we went over to my sisters house and opened our one gift which is PJ's. Nathan got the cutest ones from Gramma and Grampa. Well i thought i had them on my computer but i guess not. We will have to save them for another time.
This year has been great. Vii changed jobs and is enjoying his new job. Nathan is growing so fast and is so much fun to watch and play with. He keeps us going. He is a little comedian. I am so grateful for all i have and the many people who have come into our lives. They have each left a mark and will be remembered. Thanks again and i promise i will not go this long with out Blogging. Happy New Year and remember to make each day count.

I am going to hold you to your promise. Loved your family and couple pictures. I guess Nathan is a closet California boy.
