It is so open and inviting. We are so happy with how it turned out.

Bedtime Stories
Before bed Nathan gets a story read to him. Then he gets time to read the story by himself. Each night I came is I found him fast asleep with the books.
"Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible,No Good Very Bad Day" by Judith Viorst
"I wanna Iguana" by Karen Kaufman Orloff
I just love how peaceful he looks. Gotta love 'em

The "Before" pictures
June was a busy month. We demolished the kitchen. It was so much fun tearing out the Cupboards and then the counter tops. When it came to scraping the floor, now that was not fun.
This is how much scraping was done till we decided it was not worth it.
We decided that it was easier to just concrete the floor then try and scrape off all the linoleum.
We had a friend Clark come and lay the concrete.
Then after a lot of "doing" and "undoing" we decided to call for back-up.
Thank goodness Clark came to help. Vii and Clark did an awesome job and we are so grateful.

"Kids eye view"
I found an old camera and decide that Nathan could use it.Here is what happens when you give a 3 year old a camera.
BEWARE!
You might want to cover your eyes before viewing this one.
Yep that's me. Nathan's crazy mom.
Look at those beautiful socks.
Nathan's flip flops and stool.
This is what happens when you try and take a picture of yourself.
Nathan's favorite show. "Super Why!"
Yummy Pizza. Nope not his favorite food.
One of his favorite people.
Another one of favorite people.

101 things to do with a cereal box.
On our way back from California we had a lot of time to kill. So Nathan found a box of Pop's. After he ate what was left he found many new things to do with this box. First it was a hat. Then it turned into a cage for his monkey and Pigeon. Later it was their bed. Just before it was torn to shredded Nathan started to find all the letters on the side of the box. He said "mom this has lots of letters. There's a p.o.p.s.b.o.x" and so on. Who knows how many letters he actually read but it was a lot. It was so much fun to watch this simple cereal box change into many things and entertain a 3 year old. Thanks POP's

It's Snowing, It's Blowing...
So on Sunday it snowed all day long. In the morning Nathan and I went out and shoveled/played. Vii wasn't feeling well so we did the whole driveway. Our nieghbor is so sweet and did our walkway for us.
After church and Nathan's nap we all went out and shoveled all the snow that had fallen. At first it was so cold but once we started shoveling the wind felt so nice. Nathan came out and he sat in the snow. He seemed to really enjoy just sitting there. Then our nieghbor came by with the snow blower and he thought the "waterfall" was cool. He wanted her to spray us and guess what, she did. He said "Mom, tell Fern to do it again." I must say it was pretty fun to get sprayed.
This is the only. I mean only good thing about Snow.
