Happy Mother's Day

Well for Mother's day this year we had French toast, Fresh strawberries and Fruit smoothies. Nathan helped make alsmost all of it. He helped me put the bread in the egg mixture and then helped flipped some of them. We made sure we had it all done by the time Dad got home from work. We had a lot of fun making it. I know I should have waited for Vii to fix me breakfast in bed, but I love to surprise him when he gets off work with something yummy.
Just wanted to thank all the Mother's out their that have been a good example for me and have taught me what I know now. You guys all rock. This world would not be the same with out you.
Just a little note: I love collecting children's books and one that I just barely got is called "Mars needs MOMS!" by Berkeley Breathed. So I started to read it to my Preschool class and I could not finish the book because I started to get choked up. Great book.

Race for the Cure 2010

This is our 2nd time walking for the Susan G. Komen foundation. It is so amazing to see the sea of people that come out who have been touched by breast cancer of are going through it. This year Vii did not get to come. Nathan and I walked with two of my friends from work, Christine and Audrey. Christine and I were right smack in the middle. It was so neat to look in front and just see a sea of pink and then turn around and there was more pink. I could not even imagine that many people. We had fun. Nathan could not decide what he wanted to do: walk, ride, sit on my shoulders, or complain. He was a real trooper though. He has now tagged along for 2 charity walks. He is the greatest. He does not know it yet but he still has one more to go. Lucky for him it's not until August so he has time.

Here is nathan trying to decide what he wants, and it's not a shoulder ride.

Really look at this picture and you can see how many people were in front of us. Now just imagine that many more behind us. This is something I could not imagine if I was not there. I pray some day we can find the cure so this many people would not have to be affected by breast Cancer.

Hogle Zoo

I took a day off of work and took Nathan, Lex and Caleb to the zoo. We met up with Vii and then with Amy and Jonah. It was a cold day, but the kids had a blast anyways.
We saw the monkey's and then we went to see the Elephants and Rhino. Vii met up with us and then we went and saw the elephants again.
Who can resist the cute baby elephant Suri. She is so cute. Later she was in the big elephant area and we watched her try to stand up and she was so wobbley. Then ionce she got up she kicked a ball around. It was so fun to watch her.
We rode on the Carousel and Nathan picked the Peacock, the one that does not move only goes round and round. Vii watched us from the side lines.
We had a great time but once we ate lunch the kids were ready to go.
Did I mention is was very cold and all our noses were very red at the end.
